Philosophy for All

If there is a God, Everything is Permissible | Lacan, Zizek and Arendt

Joshua Season 7 Episode 10

Send us a text

We've all heard the statement "If there is no God, everything is permissible."
Recently, Warren and I came across a reverse formulation, that "if there is a God, everything is permissible." In this video, we discuss this formulation and discuss its merits and potential problems as well. This line of thinking running in line of that of Hannah Arendt, Slavok Zizek and Jaques Lacan.
I hope you enjoy.
